Expert Instructors

Many places with Pilates equipment use instructors with 1 week end of training! We only have expert instructors who are certified with a major Pilates institution, most all requiring at least 600 hours of training. Our instructors strive to be leaders in the field by continuing their education through seminars and workshops and our highly qualified to give you results.

What is Pilates ?

It is a system of exercise originally developed by Joseph Pilates to rehabilitate prisoners of war in the late 1920s. This technique of exercise is now recognized as one the most effective methods to increase fitness levels, maintain strength, and maintain flexibility. Pilates has been used for years by world-class athletes as a foundation for their peak strength needs. Over the last two decades it has become recognized by health and wellness professionals, including orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists, as an excellent means of healing injuries and promoting spinal health.

47 years old

A 48 year old loved basketball and had to completely give it as he aged. Problems with his groin and his lower back convinced him it was over. After only a 3-4 weeks of being trained by Shannon. he had better flexibility than he had in 20 years, was strong in his core and is back on the basketball floor!

A 48 year old female trained using the Pilates Method to gain strength in her knee before have a complete knee replacement. Immediately after surgery the doctor told her how strong her knee was and that she would recover more quickly than other patients that had not been doing Pilates. She was able to walk much sooner than most post-op knee replacement patients.

About the Owner

Shannon Rene brings many years of professional experience as a Registered Dietitian, Fitness Instructor, Power Pilates Comprehensive Trainer and Personal Trainer. She received a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Dietetics and has Group Fitness certifications from the American Council on Exercise (ACE), Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFFA), Body Training Systems (Step, Groove, Power and Ride), Zumba and Zumba Toning. She received her comprehensive Pilates certification from Power Pilates and is certified in biomechanics from the Cooper Institute of Aerobics Research.
